Welcome Back to School at Airville

A positive start to Term 1, 2026

The school year is officially underway, and it’s been wonderful to welcome our students and families back to Airville State School for the start of Term 1.

As we begin the year together, we’d like to share a few important updates and reminders to help families feel informed, confident, and ready for a great term ahead.

A strong start for our students

All students are back on site and settling into learning routines. Our focus in these early weeks is on reconnecting, establishing expectations, and supporting every child to feel safe, happy, and ready to learn.

Families will also receive a copy of The Airville Way, which outlines our school’s expectations and processes for positive behaviour and wellbeing. This is a helpful reference for both school and home, especially when working together to support children through challenges.

School times & supervision

Our class times for 2026 remains the same as last year with class starting at 9:00am and ending at 3:00pm.

To keep everyone safe, please note that supervision times remain unchanged:

  • Morning supervision: 8:00am – 9:00am
(Students should not arrive before 8:00am)

  • Afternoon supervision: Until 4:00pm

On rare occasions, if there is no staff car visible in the car park at 8:00am, families are asked to wait with their child until a staff member is on site.

Looking ahead

We’re looking forward to a positive, supportive, and successful year ahead, working closely with our families to support every child at Airville State School.
