Airville State School offers a beautiful, well-maintained learning environment that reflects our commitment to quality education, student wellbeing, and outdoor play.
The original school building has been thoughtfully renovated to serve as our administration area, with additional buildings added over the years to support student learning. In 2011, new facilities were built including a modern open-area hall and an open-plan learning space. Our library was refurbished in 2013 and continues to be a much-loved space, filled with up-to-date books, games, and flexible furniture to support quiet reading, group activities, and imaginative learning.
We also offer specialist spaces for science, drama, and music, with each classroom equipped with its own bank of computers. Students have access to iPads, interactive whiteboards, cameras, and video equipment, giving them rich opportunities to engage with digital learning across the curriculum.
Our classrooms are well-equipped, welcoming, and designed to support a calm and focused learning environment for all age groups.
Outdoor and Play Facilities
We are proud to have recently added a brand new playground, which has quickly become a favourite among our students! In addition to the playground, our school grounds include:
Two large, ovals for cricket, soccer, athletics, and touch football
A tennis court
A covered general-purpose play area perfect for hot or rainy days
A large sanded activity zone with climbing and play structures for imaginative and physical play
Our original wooden-floored hall is still used today for activities such as dance practice and our much-loved annual Fancy Dress Ball.
Beautiful student-maintained gardens are featured throughout the school grounds, adding colour and life to our environment and giving students a chance to learn about sustainability and care for living things.
We are incredibly grateful to our dedicated groundskeepers and cleaners who work hard behind the scenes to keep our school clean, safe, and beautiful every day. Their care and attention ensure our students have a healthy, tidy, and welcoming environment to learn and play in.
